Great Theater of Havana
Its dramatic neobaroque style makes it stand out and highlights the splendor enjoyed by the island in those days.
Old Galician Center (Centro Gallego)
Bordering the renowned capitol is the Alicia Alonso Great Theater of Havana, the old “Centro Gallego.” Erected between 1907 and 1914, it's one of the most iconic buildings in the island. Its impressive neobaroque façade includes dramatic towers and four bronze statues that symbolize charity, education, music and theater. This building plays host to some of the biggest shows in Havana, such as the Havana Ballet Festival, among many others. Most showings are scheduled on weekends.
