If you're into big thrills, you can't miss out on this adventure activity proposition in the Valley of Lunahuaná, which is located at 182 kilometres to the southeast of Lima and is the nerve centre for campers and excursionists. The rapids of the river 'Río Cañete' are perfect to start rafting (which they call 'canotaje') and canoeing, as its calm currents during the whole year are due to its mild and stable climate. Tourists can even go with children down the river, navigating with the instructor every time, who will give advice in order to dodge the areas that aren't so safe. It's a good idea to take insect repellent and a change of clothes. In this valley of adventure sports, which is accessible via hiring private transport from the nearby village of 'San Vicente de Cañete', you can also practice 'palestra' (climbing on the climbing walls), horse trekking, trekking and visit the vineyards.
