A group of artisans sell valuable cloth garments in the region's traditional design
Artisanal textiles of native origin
The La Fe Textile Crafts cooperative was born from the efforts of six female artisans, who learned their trade from a collection of Salvadorian women. This craft centre produces looms that are used in luxury hotels in Nicaragua and further afield, most notably Costa Rica. Located in the Ermita de Dolores neighbourhood, this production centre and establishment has already traversed borders, marketing its goods on the European market. The artisans use eight wooden machines, looms, which are operated in a manual manner that is completely eco-friendly, without the use of electricity, oils or fuels. Its operation products different items in different designs, such as blankets, scarves and tablecloths, but they all bear the prestigious stamp that declares their local craftsmanship.
