The west wing of the Louvre
An extensive 150,000 piece collection provides a warm welcome to the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, which has been tucked away in the west wing of the Louvre since 1905. As the name suggests, this space is devoted to the exhibition of decorative arts from the Middle Ages to present day. Discover its history at www.lesartsdecoratifs.fr. On the other hand, you’ll find the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris in the Palais de Tokyo, which was built for the International Exposition held in Paris in 1937. Dominating the Avenue du Président-Wilson in the sixteenth arrondissement, the museum is dedicated to modern 20th century art with works by artists such as Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Raoul Dufy, George Braque, Juan Gris and Hans Bellmer.
