El Salvador's largest and most beautiful national park is an eco-jewel.
A perfect day trip for nature lovers.
El Salvador's largest national park at 38 square kilometres (15 square miles) must rank as one of the world's prettiest. It's a solid day trip, more than 100 kilometres (67 miles) west of the capital, but worth it if you're a real nature lover, containing as it does a rugged, endangered dry tropical forest landscape with hundreds of animal species. Hikers will be in heaven!
