And that many of the bells that were taken to South America in the 15th century were exported from these lands? If you want to discover all the secrets of this bell tradition, visit one of the most curious museums in the entire region. The 'Museo de la Campana' is located in Meruelo, about 40 kilometres from Santander. You will find a collection of bells large and small, as well as the instruments used to make moulds.
