If you want to go on a shopping spree, this is the street for you. It is an easy walk and offers varied and interesting shops.
Another commercial avenue.
Juan de Herrera Street runs through the Santander Town Hall Square and Porticada Square. It was remodeled a few years ago and is now a delightful pedestrian walkway that is, along with Brugos Street, one of the city’s most important commercial avenues. It is not particularly big, which means that it is easily walkable. All kinds of shops line this street, from the main highstreet Inditex brands to luxurious jewelers, children’s shops, shoe shops and grocers. The perpendicular streets that lead to Calvo Sotelo Street are also filled with all types of shops. If you cross this avenue at Lealtad Street, you will be following Santander’s main shopping route. As you will see, it is a network of small roads that offer a vast array of luxury shops.
