Independence Hall

The nation's pride.

Broad, leafy Rothschild Boulevard is one of Tel Aviv's most singular thoroughfares, encircling part of the city with some of its most exlusive manses. And at No. 16 on this luxurious avenue is Independence Hall, perhaps the city's most iconic building, as it was from here that on May 14, 1948 David Ben-Gurion read the manifesto that proclaimed the state of Israel. Now it's a museum which focuses on the events surrounding Israel's founding as well as other aspects of the country's history.
