A board and/or chute with some exceptions regarding standard measurements.

In terms of carriage, they are defined as:

Surf/Kite board/Wave board: one kite and/or one board which does not exceed 3.5 m in length.

Bodyboard/Boogie board: one board with a maximum size of 100 x 50 x 20 cm.

Windsurf: consists of a board, boom, centreboard, mast and sail all wrapped together.

Passenger arrives at airport

Given the nature of this baggage, the passenger must allow enough time to check in, transfer and load the gear onto the aircraft.

Admission to the flight

It shall be carried subject to availability of space on the flight. All the elements must be properly positioned and tagged, secured in such a way that prevents breakage or so they do not cause harm or damage during boarding, carriage and disembarkation.

Loading the gear

Considering its characteristics, which normally impede carriage on the baggage belts, it is up to the Company’s personnel to decide whether to use a system that facilitates the carriage of this equipment from the check-in area to the aircraft. Any expenses that might arise for this concept will be on the passenger’s account.

For long-haul flights (America, Asia and South Africa), it is considered an item that can be carried within the passenger's allowance. If you add other items, exceeding the permitted number of free items, it will be considered excess baggage.

For short-haul and medium-haul flights, a single fee of €45* applies, regardless of the luggage allowance.
The maximum weight allowed shall be 23 kg with an overweight fee for weights of up to 32 kg. The fee must be paid at the airport

* Different charges, fees or taxes may apply in accordance with the law in each country.
If the operator is not Iberia, check the particular carriage conditions and allowances with the company. On IB5000 (Vueling) point-to-point routes or flights that connect one IB5000 flight with another IB5000 flight, the cost will be €45 per flight.
