GETTING ELITE POINTS AND AVIOS

For each flight you take with Malaysia Airlines you can obtain:

  • Avios, a credit that builds up in your Iberia Plus balance, exchangeable for flights and other opportunities offered by the Program.

  • Elite Points, a credit obtained exclusively for flights and which determines whether elite card levels should be kept and/or accessed.

The award of Avios for direct flights with code MH and operated by a oneworld alliance company is determined by the real distance flown in miles and flight class (cabin bonus).

The following flight series are exempted from the Avios scheme: MH3000 (MASWings), MH4000, MH5000, MH6000 (Freighter), MH8000 (Charter flights), flights operated by Firefly (coded FY/MH) and Industry/Agency discount flights.

  • Iberia reserves the right to modify these tables.

  • Iberia reserves the right to exclude tariffs from the receipt of Elite Points and Avios. Check the general programme conditions

  • Codeshare flights booked with the code of a carrier associated to Iberia but operated by a company not associated to Iberia do not meet the requirements for the award of Avios and Elite Points.

  • Iberia reserves the right to modify this Avios use table.

  • Booking and issue of tickets charged to your Avios for flights operated by Malaysia Airlines are exempt from booking fees, but only if made through their Service Center.

  • The class Full Economy is only available in combination with flights with Iberia Group.
