How to get to the city: There is no means of public transport linking the airport to Riyadh so the only means of connection are free shuttles to major hotels, taxi or hire car. Note that in Saudi Arabia women are not allowed to drive on public roads.
Terminals: King Khalid International Airport opened in 1983 and for over a decade was the largest airport in the world in terms of its surface area. It has four passenger terminals, only three of which are operational.
