Need to change your flight or claim a refund? Process it through "Manage your booking". It's fast, convenient and free of charge.
You can change the date or time of your flight, if your fare conditions allow it, with or without penalty fee. If you added "Flexible ticket" as an extra when you purchased your ticket, you also have the option of changing of the origin and/or destination.
You can claim a refund for your flight to the payment method you used when you purchased your ticket, and a refund Voucher if you added "Flexible Ticket" as an extra. If your fare doesn't allow a refund of the ticket, you'll be reimbursed for the airport taxes.
Information on fares
For full details about your fare, including the conditions and any additional costs, go to Manage your booking, entering your surname and your booking code or record locator. Check the conditions of the "Flexible Ticket" if you added it as an extra when you purchased your ticket.
To check the general conditions of fares, tap on Business, Premium Economy class and Economy class.
You can process this easily and without a management fee through Manage your booking in the following cases:
You purchased your ticket through iberia.com or our app.
Your booking is for fewer than 9 people.
You're claiming a full refund or a partial refund for an unused flight in your booking.
You're requesting a change to your booking if you haven't taken any of the flights yet.
You haven't checked in yet.
There are more than 2 hours until the scheduled departure of the flight.
You can also manage changes and refunds through our Booking Offices and this is the only channel available in the following cases:
You want to change or claim a refund for the flight of only one of the passengers in the booking.
The passenger is an unaccompanied minor.
You're travelling with your pet in the cabin.
You purchased the ticket with Avios or you used Avios to get a discount.
Your booking doesn't allow online modifications. In that case, you'll see a notice to contact us by phone.
Remember, you may be charged a management fee.
You can do it yourself, quickly and easily, wherever and whenever you want:
Log in to Manage your booking with your surname and record locator to check the change and refund conditions of your fare.
If you need to, you can contact our Booking Offices, bearing in mind that you may be charged a management fee.
If you bought your ticket from an agency, contact them directly.
Go to Manage your booking to check and process the change or refund quickly and without a management fee:
Change: Tap on "Change flights", select the flight, choose the new date/time based on availability and confirm. If you added refundable extras online, we'll issue a voucher for the amount in question.
Refund: Go to Refunds, review and tap on "See breakdown and claim refund" and confirm. If you added refundable extras online, we'll refund the amount with the ticket amount.
We'll send confirmation of your request to the email address indicated in your booking:
Changes: Immediate confirmation and new ticket.
Refunds:
Same payment method used to purchase the ticket: immediate on Iberia.com; payment up to 30 days depending on the bank.
In the form of a voucher if you added "Flexible ticket" as an extra: you'll receive it instantly.
The information on this page applies to voluntary changes and refunds. If your journey has been disrupted for operational reasons, your rights and the options available are different. Find answers to your questions about Delayed or cancelled flights.
Any changes or cancellations will affect all passengers in the booking. You can't modify the booking for only one passenger. To modify the booking of one passenger only, you will have to contact our Booking Offices so they can make the necessary changes.
If you need to cancel your flight, our service commitment allows you to claim a refund, if applicable, as long as you do so within 24 hours of your purchase. You can do this through Manage your booking, free of charge.
If you process it through our Customer Service Call Centres, you may be charged a management fee.
If you processed the refund for your flight through Manage your booking, the process is immediate and free of charge; you'll receive the amount in your original payment method within a maximum period of 30 days, depending on your bank.
If you claimed the refund by phone through our Booking Offices, the process takes about 10 days and you'll receive the payment within a maximum period of 30 days. You can check the status of your claim in our refund claim tracker using the code we provided.
If you bought your ticket through a travel agency, we recommend you contact them directly to find out the status of your refund.
At Iberia we understand every need and assess each particular case of changes and refunds related to health issues.
In general, there are no restrictions on travelling with a plaster cast, but for flights lasting more than 2 hours it must have been fitted at least 48 hours ago or it must be split lengthwise. If you need to, you can change your booking, free of charge, to fly on another date in the seven days following the date of the flight you originally booked.
We'll refund the cost of your air ticket in the event of hospitalisation and, of course, in the event of the death of a close relative (parents, children, spouse and in-laws of the ticket holder).
If you're unable to travel for health reasons, contact us through this form.
If you change your flight, we'll reimburse the extras as a refund voucher that you can use on future trips. If you claimed a refund for your flight, we'll reimburse the extras with the ticket, in the same payment method.
For non-refundable online extras, you will need to process both the changes and refunds directly with our suppliers. We'll tell how you to do this during the process. At present, these are the suppliers we use for the following services:

Refunds of tickets purchased with Avios for flights operated by the Iberia Group (Iberia, Iberia Express and Iberia Regional Air Nostrum) will depend on the fare. Check the conditions with your Iberia Club Service Centre.
If you used Avios to get a discount on the purchase of your tickets, you'll have to contact our Booking Offices to make any changes or claim a refund, depending on the conditions of your fare.
