Tourist guide: what to do and see in Pamplona
Green spaces, gastronomy and history in the capital of the old kingdom of Navarre.
When you think of Pamplona, you very likely think immediately of red and white. The Sanfermines, or running of the bulls, is the city's foremost calling card, offering the foreign visitor one of the most typical Spanish celebrations. Still, Pamplona is much more than the "chupinazo" (the rocket launch that heralds the beginning of the fun and games) and the "Woe is me!" experienced by, shall we say, less fortunate participants who may get up close and personal with a bull. The capital of Navarre will surprise you with its expansive green spaces, artistic and monumental patrimony, and its excellent cuisine. And don't forget to try its wines and to visit its wine cellars. Cheers!
