Tarragona, a Catalan coastal city, is a treasure trove of Roman history and Mediterranean beauty. Its archaeological complex, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, includes the impressive amphitheater facing the sea, the Roman circus, and the aqueduct known as the Devil's Bridge.
Tarragona's beaches are one of its main attractions, with 15 kilometers of coastline that includes urban beaches and natural coves. The golden sand, characteristic of the Costa Dorada, shines thanks to the pyrite particles.
Reus is a city in Tarragona recognized touristically for its modernist-style heritage and its close connection with the universal architect Antoni Gaudí. Reus is full of impressive modernist buildings like Casa Navàs.
Reus is also the city of vermouth. Part of the wealth that allowed the bourgeoisie to build their modernist palaces came from the business of this liqueur, of which Reus was one of the world capitals.
Tarragona's gastronomy, based on seafood and garden produce, is very typical in Reus, a true luxury for the palate.
