Up to five different routes of the Way of the Saint James pass through Navarre: two branches of the French Way, the Baztan Way, the Ebro Way and the Sakana Way.

The most important routes is undoubtedly the one that enters Navarre through Luzaide/Valcarlos, known as the French Way. This popular route takes you from the Pyrenees to La Rioja via emblematic places such as Roncesvalles, Pamplona and Puente la Reina. During your journey you will discover a rich artistic legacy, such as a medieval collegiate church, a cathedral with a stunning Gothic cloister, ancient monasteries, and countless Romanesque churches.

Enjoy the Way!

Navarre is renowned for the quality and diversity of its cuisine, which due to the geographical location or the region receives influences from the Basque Country, Aragon and Rioja.

Fresh products of the finest quality and a wide range of meats, vegetables and - surprisingly for a land-locked region - some excellent fish dishes are the hallmarks of Navarre cuisine.

Some of the most delicious local dishes are Piquillo peppers stuffed with cod, asparagus, lamb in a tomato and pepper sauce, artichokes with clams, chistorra, vegetable stew, and Navarre-style trout.
