Fuel surcharge on tickets
For tickets issued in Japan between June 1st 2023 and July 31st 2023
Fuel surcharge
Iberia and British Airways have set a fuel surcharge that it charges on the airline tickets that it issues. The fuel surcharge is applied to tickets for all long-distance and short-distance routes that are issued in Japan. We kindly request your understand and cooperation regarding this matter.
We introduced a fuel surcharge on January 15th 2005 following a steep rise in global jet fuel prices.
If fuel prices stabilise, we will reduce or abolish the fuel surcharge.
