Electronic devices on board the aircraft

You can use them in "airplane mode" or equivalent throughout the flight. Enable the Wi-Fi and data network when the service is available and indicated by the mobile signal.

If they cause interference with electronic devices the captain may ban their use.

During take-off and landing larger devices must be appropriately stowed and turned off.

They must be switched off in checked baggage, with the exception of tracking devices such as Apple AirTag. 

Check the regulation on the carriage of lithium batteries installed in electronic equipment or carried as spares.

Enhance your travel experience by switching the following devices to “flight mode” or equivalent during all phases of the flight:

  • Mobile phones

  • Music players

  • Portable game consoles

  • Bluetooth devices

  • Personal computers with or without an external mouse

  • Tablets and handheld PDAs

If any device or battery is damaged, overheats, emits smoke or accidently slips into the mechanism of the seats, please inform the cabin crew immediately. If a battery is damaged, switch off the device completely (not standby mode) and put it in a visible place where you can observe it and where it can't accidently be activated. Disable any feature that could switch it on (e.g. alarms) and don't charge it.

These items cannot be carried in the hold, but may be taken with you in your Personal carry-on luggage (handbag or briefcase). Once on board, place them in your pockets, in the compartment of the seat in front of you or under the seat in front of you. It is strictly prohibited to place them in the overhead lockers.

  • Spare batteries and power banks:

    • Spare batteries: The permitted units per passenger are 4 batteries (maximum 100 Wh) and 2 batteries (between 100 Wh and 160 Wh)

    • Power banks: Up to 2 units permitted per passenger (Maximum capacity of 100 Wh). It is prohibited to use them at any time during the flight.

    • The circuits must be protected, away from liquids containing alcohol and other batteries.

  • E-cigarettes:

    • Always carry them in their protective box or bag.

    • Keep the device away from products containing alcohol and other lithium batteries .

    • Theirentry is totally prohibited in Brazil, Qatar, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Uruguay, and Venezuela.

By not using devices that affect the aircraft’s electronics you will be ensuring a safe flight for all.

  • Remote control games.

  • Television sets.

  • Computer or videogame peripherals.

  • AM and FM radios.

  • Wireless computer mice.

Recreational devices such as hover boards, electric bikes and scooters, airwheels and mini-segways are not accepted in either checked or hand luggage.

  • Connect wifi only when the mobile signal indicates it.
  • If there is interference, the crew may ask you not to use them.
  • Some devices are banned during the flight.
