We are always striving to improve customer experience, and one of the ways we want to do this is by making boarding faster. As a result, we've changed the way we assign passengers to boarding groups.

We'll begin by inviting customers in Group 0 to board the plane. Next, we'll call customers who require special assistance and families with children under age 2 to board the plane first. We'll then continue with the boarding of customers in Group 1, followed by all the other groups, in order. Each group has a number according to the order of priority for boarding the plane.

You'll find your group number on your boarding card. Please sit back and relax until we call you. It won't take long.

Avoid queues when boarding

Be one of the first to board the plane, find more space for your hand luggage and settle down without having to rush.

Add our Priority Boarding service when you book your ticket, through Booking management or when you check in online, and you can board together with Plata and oneworld Ruby customers in Group 2.

Tips for boarding

Please go to the gate promptly and before the time shown on your boarding card. Remember to bring all the health and ID documents you need to travel to your destination. Please report to the boarding gate as early as possible so we have plenty of time to check your documents.

Once you reach the gate, wait until your group is called and in the meantime please prepare your documents and boarding card to show to our staff.

Due to the limited capacity of the overhead lockers on board, we may have to remove some baggage up to 10 kg if there is no space available. In that case, it will be placed in the hold free of charge and you can pick it up in the baggage reclaim hall on arrival at the destination airport. To make sure that your personal carry-on luggage travels with you in the cabin, check that it doesn't exceed 40x30x15cm. Remember, you must place this item under the seat in front of you.

On flights operated by Iberia Regional Air Nostrum, you must hand over your 10 kg bag at the foot of the aircraft for placement in the hold. On arrival, the ground staff will unload your bag so you can pick it up when you disembark from the aircraft before heading to the terminal. You won't need to go to the baggage reclaim hall. Depending on the size of the airport, boarding/disembarkation is on foot or by bus.
