How do I transit at T4?

Choose the means of transport that suits you best from among the different available options, including bus, shuttle bus and automatic people mover.

The Terminal Area comprises two independent buildings, the Terminal T4 (terminal building) and the Terminal T4S (satellite building). The two are connected by an automatic people mover with regular, frequent departures.

Schengen / Schengen flights

If your flight originates from an airport in the Schengen area and you are flying into another airport in the Schengen area, when you reach the terminal check on the information screens for the boarding gate your flight will depart from. The boarding gate for your next flight is in the same building and you can find it easily and quickly (Gates H, J and K). The entire connection process requires a time of around 15 minutes.

Very rarely, your connecting flight will depart from the M gates. In this case we ask you to follow the signs at the airport, as you will have to go down to the train platform to catch the APM that connects with the Satellite Building.

Schengen / Non-Schengen flights

If your flight originates from an airport in the Schengen area and you are flying into an airport not in the Schengen area (America, Africa, etc.), when you reach the terminal check on the information screens for the boarding gate your flight will depart from. To board your next flight you should go down the stairs or take the lift down to the train platform where the APM will take you to the Satellite Building where boarding gates S are found. The passport control is before you enter the boarding area. Remember that the entire process requires a time of between 20 and 30 minutes, so we recommend you don’t linger in the transit area.
