You can change the date or time of your flight, if your fare conditions allow it, with or without penalty fee. If you added "Flexible ticket" as an extra when you purchased your ticket, you also have the option of changing of the origin and/or destination.

You can claim a refund for your flight to the payment method you used when you purchased your ticket, and a refund Voucher if you added "Flexible Ticket" as an extra. If your fare doesn't allow a refund of the ticket, you'll be reimbursed for the airport taxes.

For full details about your fare, including the conditions and any additional costs, go to Manage your booking, entering your surname and your booking code or record locator. Check the conditions of the "Flexible Ticket" if you added it as an extra when you purchased your ticket.

Can I change or get a refund for flights in a booking shared with other passengers?

Any changes or cancellations will affect all passengers in the booking. You can't modify the booking for only one passenger. To modify the booking of one passenger only, you will have to contact our Booking Offices so they can make the necessary changes.

Can I cancel or change my flight free of charge?

If you aren't going to use your booking you can cancel it at no cost, provided that:

  • You request it within 24 hours of purchase and it's not a return flight that same day;

  • You process it through Manage your booking to avoid management fees. Besides, if you're entitled to a refund, you can claim it through this section, also free of charge.

  • The withholdings of your fare will apply (a maximum of 10% of the ticket price, excluding charges, taxes and administrative fees). However, these will not apply if you purchased a promotional fare.

You will have to request any changes to your booking with the same advance notice, unless your fare has restrictions and special confirmation duties. In that case, you will have to pay for any surcharges according to the fare conditions and quota availability.

Can I track my tickret refund claim?

If you processed the refund for your flight through Manage your booking, the process is immediate and free of charge; you'll receive the amount in your original payment method within a maximum period of 30 days, depending on your bank.

If you claimed the refund by phone through our Booking Offices, the process takes about 10 days and you'll receive the payment within a maximum period of 30 days. You can check the status of your claim in our refund claim tracker using the code we provided.

If you bought your ticket through a travel agency, we recommend you contact them directly to find out the status of your refund.

Can I change my booking or get a refund for health reasons?

At Iberia we understand every need and assess each particular case of changes and refunds related to health issues.

In general, there are no restrictions on travelling with a plaster cast, but for flights lasting more than 2 hours it must have been fitted at least 48 hours ago or it must be split lengthwise. If you need to, you can change your booking, free of charge, to fly on another date in the seven days following the date of the flight you originally booked.
We'll refund the cost of your air ticket in the event of hospitalisation and, of course, in the event of the death of a close relative (parents, children, spouse and in-laws of the ticket holder).

How do I change or get a refund for the extras I added when I purchased my flight?

If you change your flight, we'll reimburse the extras as a refund voucher that you can use on future trips. If you claimed a refund for your flight, we'll reimburse the extras with the ticket, in the same payment method.
For non-refundable online extras, you will need to process both the changes and refunds directly with our suppliers. We'll tell how you to do this during the process. At present, these are the suppliers we use for the following services:

  • For transfers and activities at the destination, you must first cancel them through "Manage your booking".

  • Baggage transfer and check-in, Bag On Board

  • Travel insurance

  • Bus & Fly

  • Train & Fly

  • Stopover Hola Madrid activities and service

  • Maridae

Can I get refund for tickets purchased with Avios?

Refunds of tickets purchased with Avios for flights operated by the Iberia Group (Iberia, Iberia Express and Iberia Regional Air Nostrum) will depend on the fare. Check the conditions with your Iberia Club Service Centre.

If you used Avios to get a discount on the purchase of your tickets, you'll have to contact our Booking Offices to make any changes or claim a refund, depending on the conditions of your fare.

Can I get a refund or change Flight + Hotel or Flight + Car bookings made with Iberia Holidays?
