IAGOS
Iberia once again joins the IAGOS project, combining scientific expertise with civil aviation infrastructure to obtain essential data on climate change and air quality.
We recruit the best talent around from both the public and private sectors to promote research and innovation projects to develop new technologies that allow us to continue reducing our environmental impact. We look for solutions together with universities and companies, to move forward, towards a better future.
Iberia once again joins the IAGOS project, combining scientific expertise with civil aviation infrastructure to obtain essential data on climate change and air quality.

Through the IAG (International Airlines Group) innovation programme Hangar 51, we seek innovative solutions that help us solve current and future challenges.
Of its current eight categories, two are focused on supporting the decarbonisation of the aviation sector: future energy and sustainability.

Along with 16 partners, we take part in the AVIATOR project, led by the Spanish National Institute of Aerospace Technology (INTA) and funded by the European research and innovation programme Horizon 2020 and National Research Council Canada (NRC).
This project aims to assess the impact of aviation emissions on local air quality at airports and their environment, in order to develop cleaner and more efficient engines.
