Qatar Airways is a strategic partner for Iberia and the bilateral cooperation focuses on developing connecting traffic between Latin America, Spain, South of France and Portugal with Asia, East Africa, the Middle East and the Australia/Pacific region through our HUBs in Madrid and Doha. Iberia and Qatar Airways began their relationship back in 2014 with Qatar Airways' entry into the oneworld alliance and which was definitively solidified in 2017 with the implementation of a codeshare agreement.

This is a very extensive agreement which whole scope we expect to complete during 2023: Qatar Airways currently puts its code in connection with its flights from Doha to almost 40 destinations in Iberia's domestic network, to 21 destinations in our European and African network and to all Iberia's long-haul destinations in Latin America and the United States.

For its part, Iberia codeshares on Qatar Airways´ services between Madrid, Barcelona and Málaga and Doha, and in connection with these flights Iberia codeshares on the operation of Qatar Airways to 53 destinations beyond Doha in Asia, East Africa, the Middle East and Australia/Pacific.
