This reforestation project in the town of Paracuellos del Jarama (next to Madrid airport) shows our commitment to improving the environment of the communities in which we operate.
With the energy
of everyone who works
at Iberia
In order to implement the sustainability strategy successfully, Iberia relies on the commitment of our employees. Projects like "Bosque Iberia" and the volunteering programme show their interest in and exemplary dedication to the company's sustainability projects.
BOSQUE
IBERIA
IN 2019 WE STARTED OFF
by planting 1,500 trees
and since then the forest has not stopped growing.
BY THE END OF 2022
Bosque Iberia will be a forest of 4,000 trees:
native species such as willows, dogwoods, rosemary, poplars, elms, junipers, holm oaks and pines.
VOLUNTEERS
IBERIA
During the health crisis in 2020, we started up a special volunteer programme in which more than 250 employees got involved, collaborating with NGOs such as the Spanish Red Cross, Spanish Food Bank Federation, Mano a Mano and Envera. Encouraged by the success of this first programme, the Cada acción suma (Every gesture counts), campaign was launched: a corporate volunteering programme that formalises and strengthens our employees' commitment to vulnerable groups and the humanitarian causes that define our company purpose.
As part of the volunteer programme, participants can collaborate with environmental or social intervention activities, such as workshops focused on disability immersion, accompanying elderly people and children undergoing chemotherapy, etc.
