General strike in Spain (11 November 2026)

Due to the general strike called in Spain on 11 November 2026, some of our flights may be affected.

In response to this situation, which is beyond Iberia's control, we are offering our customers alternatives so they can reorganise their trip more conveniently.

Who does this apply to?

For bookings meeting these conditions:

  • Flights scheduled for 11 November 2026, including cancelled flights.

  • Flights operated by the Iberia Group (Iberia, Iberia Express and Air Nostrum).

What options do we offer?

  • Change the travel date to fly by 26 November 2026.

  • Request a refund as a voucher or to the original payment method.

Important: the change and refund options apply to flights scheduled for 11 November 2026, including cancelled flights.

How do I manage my booking?

If you bought your ticket on iberia.com, through the App or via our Call Centre, log in to check whether the change or refund is already available online for your booking; this is the quickest way to manage it.

f you booked your trip through a travel agency, contact them directly so that they can process any changes.

Before going to the airport

Check the Flight status before going to the airport. If you are traveling from a Spanish airport on 11 November, arrive earlier than usual, as the strike could affect transport and mean that check-in, security and passport checks take longer than usual.

Where possible, travel with hand luggage only and complete the online check-in via our app or on iberia.com to speed up your journey through the airport and avoid unnecessary waits.

If you need information or need to carry out any procedures that day, prioritize our online channels, as the telephone customer service center may have longer-than-usual waiting times.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this situation beyond Iberia's control may cause and greatly appreciate your understanding.

Flight Flexibility in Tel Aviv

Due to the situation in the Middle East, some of our flights to/from Tel Aviv between 25 October and 9 December have been cancelled.

Due to these circumstances, we have introduced the following flexible policy for cancelled flights. Tickets purchased by 2 September 2026, with flight dates up to 9 December 2026, can be changed or refunded at no additional cost:

  • Change the date of your booking to any available flight date.

  • Request a full refund of your ticket using the original payment method.

If you booked directly with Iberia, you can process this online through Manage your booking. If you booked through a travel agency, you must contact the agency to modify your booking.
