Espacio Iberia's will open its doors in Buenos Aires

Argentina is one of Iberia's strategic destinations. It offers 21 weekly frequencies between Madrid and Buenos Aires

Iberia's significant commitment to the Argentine market last year will continue through 2025, as Buenos Aires has been selected to host the next edition of Espacio Iberia.

This space, whose main objective is to bring the experience of traveling with Iberia closer than ever to the Argentine public, will open its doors in the last days of March. Located at number 202 of the iconic Florida Street, it will have more than 1,000 m2 where it will offer different activities for almost four weeks.

In this way, Buenos Aires will become the third international destination in which Espacio Iberia will open, after the editions of Bogota, in 2023, and Mexico City, which took place in the first quarter of last year.

A wide range of activities

All those who come to Espacio Iberia in Buenos Aires will be able to taste, free of charge, the gastronomy served on board the airline's planes and enjoy various activities that will be organized, such as showcooking, wine tastings and other Spanish products, among others.

In addition, to live the full experience on board Iberia, visitors will be able to try on the historic uniforms of the company's staff and will have a flight simulator to get at the controls of an airplane without having to leave the city.

The stakes are rising

Argentina was one of the countries that most increased its capacity within Iberia's network of 143 destinations in 48 countries around the world. Specifically, the route between Buenos Aires and Madrid went from two to three daily flights, thus completing 21 frequencies per week.

This means that the airline currently transports more than 2,000 people between the two countries every day, which is an all-time record for this route. In 2024 as a whole, Iberia will put more than 615,000 seats on the market.

In addition, 19 out of 21 of the weekly frequencies on this route are operated with the Airbus A350, the largest and most efficient aircraft in the fleet, with capacity for 348 people in Business, Premium Economy and Economy cabins. It also offers a 35% reduction in fuel consumption compared to its predecessor model.
