Tourist guide: what to do and see in Bogota
A paradise at 2000 metres.
Colombia's capital city and the country's economic and cultural centre, Bogota stands at an altitude of over 2000 metres and has been inhabited for more than 10,500 years. With a cultural heritage worth seeing and enjoying, it is well worth exploring its old town by walking through its streets to find places as wonderful as the Plaza de Bolivar and the Catedral Primada (Primary Cathedral). Visit the museum of famous Colombian painter Fernando Botero, enjoy the food there and pica (snack) on something. And don't turn down dessert, try the chocolate and enjoy a cup of Colombian coffee.
