Tourist guide: what to do and see in Casablanca
Visit it again, Sam.
Its name of course brings immediately to mind that old Bogart-Bacall classic. But it’s arguable that part of the appeal of that famous film has been due to Casablanca’s setting. On the Atlantic coast, Morocco’s most modern city has a balmy climate, and the ideal time to visit is from April through September. Its touristic highlights include the massive Hassan II Mosque, the tallest in the world and the second largest after that of Mecca. You’ll also enjoy its historic old quarter, where you can bargain for some exquisite souvenirs. Casablanca truly is like a city out of a movie, but one you can enjoy in a very real-life way.
