Questions about Transfers

How do I book a transfer with Iberia?

Iberia offers you the option of booking the transfer from your destination airport during the flight purchase process or at a later time through Manage your booking.

  • Add the "Transfer" option to your flight booking. The system automatically fills in the airport and the date of departure.

  • Enter the number of passengers, the pick-up time and the address at your destination.

  • Return option: You can add the return journey if you want to. In that case, you will need to indicate the exact address where you want the vehicle to pick you up to take you to the airport.

You'll be able to see the specifications of the vehicles available before you confirm the booking:

  • Capacity for passengers and luggage.

  • Estimated duration of the journey.

  • Courtesy waiting time.

  • Total price.

What does the price of the transfer offered by Iberia include?

The amount shown when you book the transfer on iberia.com is always the final total price, calculated according to your selected options:

  • Passengers: The price is automatically adjusted to the number of people travelling with you.

  • Journey: You decide if you need one way only or the full return service.

  • Exclusivity: All our bookings are individual. The vehicle will be for the exclusive use of your group. You won't have to share it with strangers.

  • Additional stop: Private transfers allow you to request an additional stop during the journey to the destination. Simply indicate this in the "Special instructions" field when entering your details so that the provider can arrange it in advance.

  • Tolls: Any tolls for the journey are automatically included in the total fare.

  • Courtesy waiting time: The driver offers a courtesy margin of between 45 and 60 minutes to cover any delays at customs or baggage claim. If you anticipate a longer delay, contact the local provider to request an extension. Bear in mind that this may result in an additional charge.

What time do I need to indicate for the pick-up?

Iberia recommends that you book the vehicle well in advance:

  • If they come to pick you up at the destination airport, you should allow:

    • 20 minutes on top of the arrival time if you're travelling only with hand luggage.

    • Between 30-40 minutes on top of the arrival time if you have checked baggage.

    • Add another 60 minutes to the above if you have to go through customs procedures.

  • If your transfer is to the airport for your return flight, indicate the specific time to be able to reach the airport at least two and a half hours before the scheduled departure of your flight. Bear in mind the traffic conditions at peak times.

We also suggest that you let the driver know that you have arrived at the airport. If you need additional time, you can inform the local provider and ask them for an extension. In that case, additional charges may apply.

What is considered luggage in a transfer and how many pieces can I take?

Luggage is considered everything that needs to be placed in the boot; hand luggage is any bag, rucksack or small suitcase that you can easily place at your feet or on your lap. Iberia recommends that you plan in advance the number of pieces of luggage you are going to take before making the booking.
In the vehicle selection, the number of people and suitcases that can be carried is included in the price.

If you need to take bicycles, skis or other special baggage, you must indicate this, in as much detail as possible, in the "Special instructions" field that appears when you enter your personal data during the booking process.
An item of special baggage or any large piece of equipment counts as two pieces of luggage and their transport may therefore increase the price of the booking.

Do transfers include infant or child seats?

You can request an infant or child seat in the "Special Instructions" field. Iberia recommends that you enter as many details as possible, such as the child's age, weight and height. The provider will confirm as soon as possible whether it can offer the seat and whether additional charges apply.

Can I book transport for people with reduced mobility?

Most vehicles accept folding wheelchairs. Indicate this in the "Special Instructions" field. Iberia recommends that you keep in mind the total amount of luggage you are going to take along with the wheelchair to choose a vehicle with enough capacity for the transfer.

Can I take my pet on the transfers offered by Iberia?

If you are going to travel with your pet, you must indicate this in the "Special Instructions" field when you book the transfer. Pets are accepted in most cases, but the provider will contact you as soon as possible if otherwise.

How can I confirm that my Transfer booking was successful?

Transfer bookings made through Iberia will be confirmed as soon as the payment has been completed. You'll receive an email with all the details (times and meeting point), although it may take a few hours to reach your inbox.
If you don't receive it within that time frame, we suggest the following:

  • Check your Spam folder.

  • Check your details: Make sure there were no errors in the email address provided.

  • Log in with the booking code for your flight to Manage your booking on iberia.com, select "Complete your journey" and then "Transfers" to check the information or see the Globick contact details.

Can I change or cancel my Transfer booking?

Changings to bookings for a Transfer service made through Iberia are not permitted. Free cancellation is possible with most of our providers if you do it well in advance. If you need to change your booking, we suggest you cancel your current one and then make a new booking.
To manage this, go to Manage your booking on iberia.com and select "Transfers", using your booking code. This will take you to the page where you can cancel your current booking and make a new one. Bear in mind that the price of the new service may be different from the original price, depending on availability and dates.

What if I have a duplicate payment for a transfer?

If you have a duplicate payment, two bookings may have been generated.
You can check this by logging in to iberia.com with your booking code, selecting Manage your booking and then "Your transfers" to cancel it if applicable.

How can I get an invoice for a Transfer?

If you have booked a Transfer service through Iberia and you need an invoice, you can easily request it by following these steps:

  • Go to Manage your booking on the Iberia website.

  • Select "Complete your journey" and then the Transfer service.

  • Click on the provider's "Privacy policy" to find their email address and process the invoice directly with them.

If you need an invoice for other services (flights, luggage, etc.) from Iberia, you can request it through Request invoice if you made the purchase in Spain, or contact the Iberia Customer Service Centres.

How do I locate my driver and what if I can't find them?

To ensure a smooth and easy encounter with your driver, Iberia has unified the key details you need to know:

  • The contact details of the local driver or provider (such as name and phone number) will appear on your booking voucher. We recommend that you have this document handy on arrival.

  • Meeting point: The exact pick-up point will be indicated in the transfer confirmation email. You can also specify a specific pick-up location or provide details for your identification (such as your clothing) through the "Special instructions" field when you make your booking.

  • If you can't locate the driver: Contact the number on your booking after checking the directions to confirm that you're in the right place.

  • Management of additional waits: In case of any delays, please contact the local provider to request extra waiting time. Remember, this service may be subject to an additional fee.

Do I need to let the transport driver know if my flight is delayed or cancelled?

Iberia regrets the incident with the flight. In any case, these circumstances are contemplated so there is no need for any concern.

  • If your flight has been delayed or cancelled and you are going to arrive a little later on a different flight, both the transport provider and the driver will have been informed and will be waiting for you on arrival. If you have any questions, you'll find the contact details of the local provider or driver on the booking voucher.

  • If the cancelled or delayed flight compromises the transfer, i.e. it arrives after the courtesy waiting time, we'll inform you as soon as possible so that you can cancel it if allowed by the provider's policy. In that case, the amount you paid will be refunded to the same method you used when you booked the service.

What if I'm late for my transfer back to the airport?

Iberia recommends that you are at the meeting point 15 minutes before the scheduled time to make sure you arrive at the airport in plenty of time for your flight. Your driver will wait for you for a maximum of 5 courtesy minutes. Thereafter, we can't guarantee that the driver will be able to continue waiting, as it could affect other transfers.
If you anticipate any delays, please contact the local driver or provider immediately to request additional time. You'll find the contact details on your booking voucher. Remember, this may incur an additional charge.

What if I leave something behind during the transfer to or from the airport?

If you leave something behind during a transfer booked through Iberia, contact the person who managed your service directly. You'll find the details of the transfer provider or driver in the confirmation email.

Who manages transfers booked with Iberia?

Transfers booked through Iberia are managed by external providers. Iberia facilitates access to the catalogue of services, the booking and, in some cases, the cancellation, but the service and its provision depend on the organiser of the activity.

How do I manage incidents related to transfers booked through Iberia?
