EES (Entry/Exit System): New border control system in the EU
From 12 October, EU countries are introducing a new border control and management system. This will apply to third-country nationals travelling to one of the 29 EU member states for a short stay.
The rollout will take place over six months, so not all passenger details may be collected immediately during this time. After that period, the EES will be fully operational at all border crossing controls.
