For thirty-one (31) days, from May 1 to 31, 2023 (both included), AVIS ALQUILE UN COCHE, S.A.U., will launch a promotion within the framework of its association with Iberia Plus, the frequent flyer program of the Iberia airline that uses Avios as the currency of the program. For this promotion, AVIS will raffle 1,000,000 Avios points.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. General provisions

(a) By participating in the Avis “Earn up to 1,000,000 Avios” promotion (the “Sweepstakes”), Eligible Participants (as defined in Section 2 below) agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (the "Terms and Conditions") and any other conditions or additional terms required to participate in the Promotion.

(b) It is necessary to reserve a car from the regular Avis fleet through www.rentacar-iberia.com (Vans, cars with driver and prestige fleet are excluded) between the dates May 1 and 31, 2023 for rentals between May 1 and September 30, 2023 to participate in the Sweepstakes.

(c) The Sweepstakes is organized and promoted by AVIS ALQUILE UN COCHE, S.A.U., Avda. Manoteras, 32, Edificio Avis, 28050, Madrid, Spain (hereinafter Avis). All questions regarding the Sweepstakes should be directed directly to Avis at the following email address: Sergio.urena@avis.es

(d) The Draw and these Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Spain. In the event of a claim relating to the Terms and Conditions, or their execution, results or other matters relating to the Sweepstakes, Avis's decision will not be the subject of further discussion or correspondence.

(e) The Draw will begin in Spain on May 1, 2023 at 00:01 (CET) (the “Start Date”) and will end on May 31, 2023 at 23:59 (CET) (the “Date of completion").

(f) The period from the Start Date to the End Date will be called the "Promotion Period".

(g) The Promoter is: AVIS ALQUILE UN COCHE, S.A.U., Avda. Manoteras, 32, Edificio Avis, 28050, Madrid, Spain.

(h) Winner will be announced within thirty-one days from the end of the rental through September 30, 2023.

(i) Non-awarded participants will not receive any notification about their participation in the Sweepstakes.

 

2. Participants admitted

(a) In order to participate in the Sweepstakes, entrants must permanently reside in Spain and be at least 21 years of age at the time of entry and comply with the reservation and rental periods mentioned above ("Eligible Entrants"). Only eligible Participants may enter the Sweepstakes.

(b) Rentals must include the Iberia Plus customer number of the main driver. This Iberia Plus number must be included when formalizing the reservation and the card given at the counter when the rented car is picked up.

(c) Employees (or members of employees' families or households) of Avis or Budget, or any company associated with the Sweepstakes (including Iberia, Avios Group Limited and any other advertising agency or web company), or of its affiliated or associated companies, will not be able to register in the Sweepstakes. Avis reserves the right to verify the entry of all entrants and, at its sole discretion, not to award the prize (as defined below) and/or to select an alternate winner, should it be aware or has reasonable grounds to believe that the winner is not an Eligible Entrant under these Terms and Conditions.

(d) Eligible Participants must be customers of the Iberia Plus program to be eligible for a prize.

 

3. Registration in the Sweepstakes

(a) It is necessary to have completed and paid in full a rental with a reservation between May 1 and 31, 2023 and with an enjoyment date between May 1 and September 30, 2023 to participate in the Sweepstakes. Rentals completed after the end date will not be considered. Avis reserves the right to disqualify participants and take any other action it deems necessary if it detects that customers have: • tampered with or interfered with the entry process or the operation of this Promotion; • breached these Terms and Conditions; • acted in bad faith; either • provided false or misleading information in the course of participating in this Promotion.

(b) Entries

(i) When the rental has been successfully completed and paid for, the Eligible Participant will be automatically entered into the Sweepstakes. Winners will be selected in accordance with the manner detailed in Section 5.

(ii) Only one entry per person will be admitted to the Draw. Avis reserves the right to change, complete or discontinue the Promotion in the event that it appears that multiple automated entries have been submitted or an attempt has been made to interfere with the contest in a disruptive manner by other means.

(iii) The Sweepstakes will start on May 1 at 00:01 CET and end on May 31st, 2023 at 23:59 CET ("End Date"). Avis assumes no responsibility for entries received after the End Date and such entries will not be entered into the Sweepstakes.

(iv) Avis assumes no responsibility for lost, damaged, incomplete or late entries, regardless of cause (including incomplete entries due to system failure), or for entries not received or incomplete due to errors, omissions, interruptions, unauthorized human interventions, computer or telecommunications system failures, incorrect or inappropriate capture of registration information, failure to capture information or any other cause beyond its control.

(v) By participating in the Sweepstakes, Eligible Participants agree to hold harmless Avis, its affiliated or associated companies and their employees from and against any and all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of or in connection with participation or entrant's entry into the Sweepstakes, including, without limitation, any breach of the warranties set forth in the paragraph below and any action taken by Avis in connection therewith.

(vi) By entering this contest, it is assumed that entrants have full legal capacity to enter the contest and agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions.

 

4. Prizes The Draw prize is 1,000,000 Avios., distributed in 5 prizes of 200,000 Avios each Avios will be issued and redeemed in accordance with the Iberia Plus terms and conditions. All flights, cars, hotels and other redemption product purchases are subject to availability. Avios are non-transferable and there is no possibility to exchange them for cash. The Avios will be added to the corresponding account of the winner's Iberia Plus customer before November 30, 2023 at 23:59 (CET). The prize Avios will be subject to the specifications described in the General Conditions of the Iberia Plus Program. The Avios of the prize cannot be transferred or given away or exchanged for their equivalent in money, and they will be recorded in the account of the Iberia Plus card holder who has made the car rental. The winner will be able to decide on their own how they want to redeem their Avios. Additional commissions, fees or charges may apply to some products redeemed for Avios. These fees or charges will be the responsibility of the winners.

 

5. Requirements and selection of winners

(a) The winner of the Draw will be selected in Spain within a period of thirty (30) days from the Closing Date of the Draw (September 30, 2023).

(b) Winners will be randomly selected by Avis systems from among all Sweepstakes registrants prior to May 31, 2023, from among all qualifying rentals.

(c) The winner will be responsible for any commission, tax, fee or other additional charge associated with the redemption of Avios.

(d) The winner will be notified at the email or phone number provided at the time of rental within 30 days of the End Date.

(e) Once the winner has confirmed their Iberia Plus affiliation details and these have been verified, the Avios prize will be added to their Iberia Plus account. If the winner does not respond to the notification with their Iberia Plus membership details within 72 hours, Avis reserves the right to draw the prize again.

(f) Avis will use reasonable efforts to contact the winner. In the event that the winner cannot be contacted, does not respond within the stated time, or is deemed by Avis to be in breach of these Terms and Conditions (including the entry requirements detailed above), Avis reserves the right to to offer the prize to an alternate winner selected by drawing, in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

(g) Prizes will be awarded at the sole discretion of Avis, which reserves the right not to award a prize to any eligible Participant in the event of failure to comply with the terms of the Sweepstakes or the general conditions of the rental agreement entered into with AVIS.

 

6. General information about the prizes

(a) After the correct notification, AVIS will send information to the winners summarizing the procedure to receive the prize (b) The prize is non-transferable.

(c) No substitution, redemption for cash or assignment of prizes will be permitted. The Promoter will not be responsible for any defect in the prize.

(e) Images used during the Sweepstakes will be used for illustrative purposes only and will not reflect actual prizes.

(f) Prizes must be accepted as stated and may not be deferred.

(g) If there is any reason to believe that these Terms and Conditions have been breached or that incorrect, illegible, fraudulent, invalid or inappropriate information has been provided, we may, at our sole discretion, refuse to process an entry or the awarding of a prize.

(h) The winner must ensure that they are a valid member of Iberia Plus and comply with the rules of the Iberia Plus program.

(i) Avis does not accept any responsibility for technical failures, malfunctions or any other problems that may lead to the loss or misregistration of an entry.

(j) Avis reserves the right to cancel this Promotion or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time, should we deem it necessary, in our sole discretion, or should circumstances arise beyond our control.

(l) We will use any data or personal information that participants provide us when registering for the Draw to manage the Draw and notify the winner. (m) These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Spain, whose courts will have non-exclusive jurisdiction.

 

 

 

1. Avis will award 1,000 Bonus Avios to eligible rental bookings.

2. This promotion is open to all Iberia Plus members. Qualifying rentals must be booked between from 1st to 30rd June 2023; and picked up between 1st May and 30th September 2023.

3. To qualify, reservations must be for minimum three (3) days or more, and for cars group C or above.

4. Rentals must be booked on https://www.iberia.com/, https://www.rentacar-iberia.com, www.avis.com or with the Avis Call Centre.

5. When making the reservation, the Iberia Plus members must include the Iberia Plus membership number of the first named driver (the “renter”). This Iberia Plus membership number must be given at time of reservation and the card shown at time of rental.

6. Qualifying rentals will receive 1.000 bonus Avios in addition to the standard award of 5 Avios per Euro spent.

7. This Avios bonus is not valid on Prestige rentals, Chauffeur Drive or Van rentals worldwide.

8. Offer may not be used in conjunction with any other coupon, promotion or frequent flyer points offer. Conjunctive or concurrent rentals will not qualify. In these circumstances, only the first rental to be completed will qualify.

9. Avis reserves the right to withdraw the offer at any time.

10. The awarding of such Avios may take up to eight (8) weeks from date of rental.
