Change of terminal at London Heathrow

On 1 June, we're going back to our previous location and all our flights to and from London Heathrow will once again depart from and arrive at Terminal 5.

Check-in desk
If you have to drop off luggage or you didn't get your boarding pass online and need to get a physical one at Heathrow Airport, you'll find Iberia's new check-in area in Zone B of Terminal 5.

Fast track and VIP lounges
This new terminal offers the fast track service and two VIP lounges for use by Iberia customers under the same conditions as the previous ones.

Flights operated by British Airways
If any of your flights are operated by British Airways, you will need to go to Terminal 3. You can find more information in the following links: Heathrow map and Connecting flights.

Connecting flights
If you have a connecting flight that may be affected by this terminal change, you'll receive a notification informing you of the changes.

Where does Iberia operate at London-Heathrow Airport (LHR)?

From 1 June, Iberia will carry out its operations at Terminal 5 at London Heathrow Airport (LHR).

Where is the check-in area?

The check-in area is located in Zone B and has separate desks for Economy and Business. This terminal is shared with British Airways.

Which are the Iberia check-in desks in T5?

The check-in desks are B10 to B16.

Does this change affect both the departure and arrival of flights?

Yes, the arrivals area is also located in Terminal 5.

Why is Iberia switching terminals?

This new location is more strategic and will facilitate connections between a wide network of flights and destinations, therefore enhancing the quality of our customer service.

Where will codeshare flights with other airlines operate from?

British Airways (BA) operates at Terminal 5, so flights sold by Iberia and operated by British Airways aircraft will depart from and arrive at Terminal 5. American Airlines (AA) continues to operate at Terminal 3.

What if I already have a connecting flight with BA?

If the connection time is sufficient to change terminals, there won't be any issue and you won't need to change your ticket. You should go to the British Airways terminal to take the connecting flight. If the connection time is too short, the airline operating the first flight will try to change it to ensure enough time to make the connection.

What if I accidentally find myself in the wrong terminal?

If you are in the wrong terminal, you have to go to the correct one for the departure of your flight. Please bear in mind that the terminals are quite far apart, so if you don't arrive in time to board your flight we advise you to contact the airline and we'll offer you another alternative.

How do I get from one terminal to another?

Heathrow Airport has published information about the options for travelling between terminals. You can find more information at the following links:Heathrow map and Connecting flights.

Which destinations does British Airways operate at T3?

British Airways operates most of its flights at T5 at London Heathrow, although some flight to certain cities depart from and arrive at Terminal 3. These destinations are: Bastia, Billund, Bucharest, Gibraltar, Gothenburg, Lynn, Naples, Oslo, Porto, Pristina, Pura, Tirana and Vienna. However, now that Iberia has switched terminals a few more destinations will be added. You can check them at https://www.britishairways.com.

Will it offer the same services as the old terminal?

Yes, the services provided will be the same as in the old terminal, such as assistance for unaccompanied minors and persons with reduced mobility, and exclusive services for Business customers (check-in desks, fast track and VIP lounges).
