Puerto Rico is a territory of the United States and the smallest, easternmost island of the Greater Antilles. With 76 municipalities in the interior and two nearby islands, the archipelago is located between the Dominican Republic and the Virgin Islands and is divided into six regions. Puerto Rico has a tropical climate.

The Island maintains temperatures between the 70s and 90s Fahrenheit (20s to 30s Celsius) year-round, with dips to the 60s (15-20 Celsius) in the central mountains during the winter months.

As a territory of the United States, Puerto Rico uses the US dollar as its official currency and its official languages are Spanish and English.
