Coruña, Lugo, Palencia, Torrelavega, and Cartagena: New Bus&Fly Cities with Iberia and Alsa

This intermodal product allows travelers to combine Alsa bus journeys to/from 25 Spanish cities to/from Madrid Airport’s Terminal 4 (T4) with Iberia’s international flights to over 90 destinations—all in a single ticket

Iberia and Alsa are expanding their intermodal  Bus&Fly productwhich allows passengers to combine bus and air travel in a single ticket from various Spanish cities to Terminal 4 (T4) at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport, making it easier to connect with Iberia’s international flights. Customers from other countries can also use the Bus&Fly intermodal ticket to reach these Spanish cities.

Now, five new cities are joining the Bus&Fly network and have been assigned their respective IATA codes: Coruña (LRN), Lugo (LCU), Palencia (PAI), Torrelavega (TVE), and Cartagena (CXG).

These cities join the 20 already connected: Albacete, Alicante, Benidorm, Bilbao, Burgos, Gijón, Granada, León, Logroño, Lorca, Murcia, Oviedo, Ponferrada, San Sebastián, Santander, Santiago de Compostela, Soria, Valladolid, Vitoria, and Zaragoza.

Another new feature is that Bus&Fly customers can now purchase Iberia’s Basic Fare for their trips. This is the most economical option in Economy class, designed for travelers seeking a more competitive price and who do not need to check luggage.

CONNECTED TRAVEL WITH A SINGLE TICKET

Bus&Fly works like a connecting journeycombining in a single ticket the transfer from the departure city to Madrid Airport’s T4 and the connection with any of the more than 90 international destinations offered by the airline in Europe, the Americas, and Asia—optimizing travel time and guaranteeing the connection. The same applies for international travelers heading to any of the 25 Spanish cities.

This intermodal travel option offers significant advantages for customers, such as optimized connections to facilitate travel; a single ticket for the entire itinerary and guaranteed alternative travel in case of missed connections.

Bus&Fly tickets can be purchased via the Iberia app and website at www.iberia.com, as well as through the NDC reservation system used by the travel industry, where the entire itinerary is displayed, including both the Alsa bus segment and the Iberia international flight.
