Iberia Receives Three Major International Awards for Its Onboard Experience
The awards are judged by industry experts
Iberia has been honored with three of the most prestigious international awards for its onboard experience during the Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) and the World Travel Catering & Onboard Services Expo (WTCE), held concurrently in Hamburg.
At the PAX International Awards, the airline received the award for Best Cabin Interior in Europe, recognizing the design and quality of its cabins. Additionally, it was presented with the first-ever Verified Award – Europe, a new distinction that highlights the authentic passenger experience. Unlike other categories, this award is not determined by public vote but by a direct evaluation of the product by publishers and industry experts who have flown and tested the service firsthand.
This recognition follows an onboard assessment conducted on one of Iberia’s Airbus A321XLR aircraft. This model is a cornerstone of the company’s strategy and a key pillar of its "2030 Flight Plan." As the world’s launch customer for this model, Iberia now operates eight units, enabling the expansion of its long-haul network with new destinations such as Recife, Fortaleza, Newark, and Toronto.
Furthermore, at the Onboard Hospitality Awards, Iberia was recognized for the second consecutive year with the award for Best Onboard Catering in Economy Class (Lunch/Dinner) for its "Pulpo Royale." Developed in collaboration with DO&CO, this gastronomic proposal emphasizes high-quality products, Spanish culinary inspiration, and the use of fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients.
