New terminal at New York-JFK

For operational purposes, as from 1 December all our flights to and from New York-John Fitzgerald Kennedy (JFK) Airport will arrive and depart from Terminal 8.

With this new location, the main hubs of the member airlines of the North Atlantic Agreement, i.e. British Airways, American Airlines, Finnair and Iberia, will be connected through a wide network of flights and destinations, therefore enhancing customer service.

Iberia will offer customers all the usual airport services at the new terminal.

Check-in area

Iberia and Level will both be located in Zones 6 and 7 at Terminal 8.
Iberia will have 4 desks for Economy passengers and 2 for Business.

Premium services

  • VIP lounges: Iberia Plus Infinita, Singular, Platino and Oro customers, as well as customers travelling in Business class, will be able to use the following VIP lounges available to Iberia at this terminal:

    • Admirals Club Lounge: Available to Business passengers, Iberia Plus Oro cardholders and oneworld Sapphire customers.

    • Flagship Lounge: Available to Iberia Plus Infinita, Platino and Singular cardholders and oneworld Emerald customers.

  • Priority security lane: Exclusive passport control zone for Business passengers and Emerald or Sapphire Iberia Plus cardholders.

  • All the information is available on the John Fitzgerald Kennedy Airport website.

Which terminal does Iberia use at New York-JFK Airport?

As from 1 December 2022, Iberia will use Terminal 8 at John Fitzgerald Kennedy Airport for all operations.

Where is the check-in zone in the new terminal?

The check-in area with separate desks for Economy and Business passengers is located in aisles 6 and 7 in Terminal 8. This terminal will be shared with American Airlines, British Airways and Finnair.

Will it offer the same services as the old terminal?

Yes, the services provided will be the same as in the old terminal, such as assistance for unaccompanied minors and persons with reduced mobility, and exclusive services for Business customers (check-in desks, fast track and VIP lounges).

Does this change affect arrivals as well as departures?

Yes, the arrivals area is also located in Terminal 8.

Why is Iberia switching terminals?

The switch is for operational purposes and will benefit both flight operations and customer service. Better connections and transits between the airlines associated with Iberia, British Airways, American Airlines and Finnair with which we also operate codeshare flights to certain destinations.

Suspension of operations on the route to Rio de Janeiro

Due to the suspension of operations between Madrid and Rio de Janeiro, if you have a ticket issued to fly on this route between 27 June and 29 October 2022 on flights operated by Iberia and you purchased your ticket directly on our website or at Serviberia by 30 March, we will do our best to provide you with an alternative. If you bought your flight ticket through a travel agency, you should check with the agency for them to modify your booking.
