Iberia Launches direct flights to Bucharest
The service will operate twice weekly
Iberia launches flights to Bucarest. Romania’s capital, one of the most attractive emerging destinations in Eastern Europe, will be served with two weekly flights from June, until 30 September.
Iberia will connect the two capitals on Wednesdays and Sundays, offering more than 12,700 seats throughout the summer season.
The new route responds to growing tourism interest in Romania and provides more than just a connection between two cities. It will also facilitate onward travel from Bucharest to North America and Latin America through Iberia’s hub in Madrid.
Bucharest joins Tivat(Montenegro) as one of Iberia’s new seasonal routes, offering customers fresh travel options alongside the airline’s already well-established network.
Both destinations form part of Flight Plan 2030, Iberia’s roadmap for growth and for strengthening Madrid’s position as a major hub connecting Europe and the Americas. The airline remains committed to its customers and to delivering on Flight Plan 2030 despite the current international environment, which has led to higher fuel costs.
An Eclectic City
Bucharest stands out for its eclectic architecture, where neoclassical palaces, French-inspired buildings and modern constructions coexist side by side.
The city also boasts a vibrant cultural scene and a rapidly expanding gastronomic and leisure offering. Its proximity to natural destinations such as Transylvania and the Carpathian Mountains makes it an excellent gateway for exploring the country.
